April is Earth Month. Our thrift stores in Burlington and Oakville serve an important environmental mission: We enable our communities to reuse, repurpose, and recycle clothing and household items. 

The new year is usually a time to take stock and perhaps consider new directions. At Goodwill Amity, we actually help people start fresh year-round by supporting individuals in entering or re-entering the workforce.

Goodwill Amity was founded on September 27, 1935 and this fall we reflected on our history, celebrated the achievements of job seekers and employers in today’s challenging environment, and cast our eyes to the future.

Summer can be a more leisurely season but we didn’t slow down so wanted to share Goodwill Amity happenings since our June newsletter.
