Required Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills:
Post-secondary diploma or degree program in Human Resources.
Working towards CHRP designation, with a minimum 2 years administrative experience, Human Resources preferred.
Working knowledge of employment legislation including: Human Rights, Employment Standards, Health & Safety, Accessibility and Privacy legislation.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated professionalism, judgement, and discretion in dealing with sensitive or confidential matters.
Strong sense of urgency, oral & written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to respond effectively to multiple and changing priorities by adapting and remaining flexible.
Ability to participate as an effective team member, supporting departmental/organizational goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to understand key initiatives and deliver results effectively and in a timely manner.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems and reporting tools; experience with ADP WorkForce Now an asset.
Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity and diversity, and proven ability to deal effectively with a diverse population.
Positive attitude; ability to take responsibility and be accountable; ability to deal with change in the workplace and be innovative; respect for others.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and to work from any one of Indus’s sites. Occasional travel will be required.
Successful candidates must provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check prior to commencing employment.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and Duties: (but not limited to)
Assist with full-cycle recruitment support including posting employment opportunities, preparing interview files and coordinating interviews logistics.
Support the on-boarding and off-boarding processes, training and employee relations programs.
Assist with data entry/recordkeeping, collection of statistical information, preparation of meeting materials, document meeting minutes as needed.
Data entry/record keeping
Assist with the intake, orientation and documentation of Volunteers, Student Placements and Summer Students within all programs.
Assist with drafting and revising policies & procedures, job descriptions, interview questions, communications to staff or other documents related to human resources.
Organize and maintain various filing systems, including electronic files, data tracking sheets and employee files, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and the organization’s policies and procedures.
Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation on the agency’s biannual Staff Professional Development Days.
Support the JHSC committee and assist with health & safety documentation.
Provide general reporting and support data requests to enable better decision making, conduct problem analysis and recommend people solutions.
Assist with various HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a legal and ethical manner and in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all employee related information.
Perform other related duties from time to time as assigned.

Additional Details:
Contract until March 31st, 2024 with the possibility of an extension.
