This week Goodwill Amity celebrated the 50th anniversary of two significant milestones in our rich history:

  • 50 years of occupying our iconic King William building in the heart of downtown Hamilton!
  • 50 years since joining Goodwill Industries International!

We celebrated with the grand reveal of our Welcome Wall showcasing the history of Goodwill Amity.

Remarks were delivered by Goodwill Amity CEO, Kelly Duffin; Goodwill Amity Board Chair, Glen Norton; Councillor Craig Cassar in the stead of Mayor Andrea Horwath; and Davin, from the office of MPP Monique Taylor.

We look forward to our next milestones, and to continuing to serve the Hamilton and Halton regions faithfully for years to come!

Canada Summer Jobs Program

Pictured Here: MP Pam Damoff visiting one of our Canada Summer Jobs locations at our Burlington Career Centre to meet with our students and Employment Services team.

The federal Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program gives youth, often students, valuable real-world work experience and gives employers like Goodwill Amity some extra team members. We were fortunate enough to participate again this year and welcomed eight fantastic talents to our team at various Goodwill Amity locations!

Thank you to MP Pam Damoff for being a champion of the Canada Summer Jobs program and for taking the time to visit our Burlington Career Centre CSJ and our entire team!

We love to be a part of this program and are honoured to be able to provide opportunities for youth in our community!
